University of St Andrews Application Intensive Overview
Interested in applying to the University of St Andrews this fall?
Want to get ahead over the summer so you feel prepared to submit a strong application early in senior year?
This focused online program is designed specifically for US high school students applying to St Andrews via the Common App. Over the course of one week, students will receive expert guidance, practical support, and personalized feedback to help build a compelling and competitive application with confidence.
To ensure a highly personalized experience with meaningful individual feedback and support throughout the week, places will be very limited.

You will receive:
- A clear overview of the University of St Andrews, including degree structures, student life, traditions, academics, housing, and the overall student experience
- Guidance on choosing the right St Andrews degree program for your interests, strengths, and future goals
- Intensive support on developing and refining your St Andrews personal statement essay, including detailed feedback and ongoing edit suggestions throughout the week
- Clear guidance on UK admissions expectations and what makes a strong St Andrews application
- Small-group workshops, individualized guidance sessions, and flexible self-paced work over the course of the week
- Support with planning timelines, application strategy, and next steps before senior year begins
- Opportunities to ask questions and receive personalized feedback throughout the week
How Will the Week Work?
This is not a full-day commitment. Students will participate in scheduled small-group and individual sessions throughout the week, alongside structured independent work and personal statement tasks between sessions.
There will be required online sessions every day, however the program is designed to fit somewhat flexibly around other summer commitments while still allowing students to make substantial progress on their applications.
Exact session times and schedules will be shared with enrolled students in advance.
Who is the University of St Andrews Application Intensive designed for?
This program is designed for rising high school seniors who are in good academic standing and planning to apply via Common App for undergraduate degree programs at the University of St Andrews this fall.
Parents, there is no requirement but you are very welcome to attend the general information sessions as well as individual guidance sessions with your student should you wish.
How to register?
To help ensure this program is the right fit for each student, interested families should first complete this short questionnaire. I will then arrange a brief 15-minute online or phone conversation to discuss your goals, answer questions, and make sure the program feels like a good match before you commit.
Following the questionnaire and conversation, students will be invited to officially register for the course.
Places will be very limited in order to maintain a highly personalized and supportive experience.
Tuition and Program Details
The St Andrews Application Intensive is priced at $500 per student and will run from Saturday July 11th through Friday, July 17th 2026.
The program includes small-group sessions, individualized feedback and guidance, intensive personal statement support throughout the week, and access to all course resources and materials.
Students who fully engage with the program will make substantial progress on their applications over the course of the week and go a long way toward being ready to apply via Common App in the early fall.
Enrollment will remain intentionally small to allow for meaningful individualized attention and support.
